How we choose

The zip is the first thing to break.

In a backpack, the fabric almost never fails: it's the zip and the handle stitching that do. We check these two points before the design, because they determine whether the gift lasts a year or five.

  • Branded zips with metal pullers
  • Padded and measured laptop compartment
  • Breathable back for everyday use

The detail

Embroidery is the technique for backpacks.

On technical fabric, it withstands rain and friction better than any print. It costs more and it's worth it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Backpacks

If yours is not here, write to us. People answer, not an automatic form.

What zip should a personalised backpack have to last?

Metal chain or nylon, size 8 or above, with a metal puller. The main zip is the failure point on almost every backpack that breaks, and size 5 plastic zips don't survive a year of daily use.

How do I know if a laptop will fit in the backpack?

By measuring it. A fifteen-inch compartment from one manufacturer isn't the same as another's: if the company is handing out a specific model, it's worth measuring width, height and thickness with the sleeve on. It's the most common reason for returns. And watch out for the litres in the catalogue, which are measured with the backpack fully inflated.

Embroidery or printing for a backpack logo?

Embroidery. On technical fabric it withstands rain and rubbing better than any printing. It costs more, and it's worth it.

What makes a backpack comfortable for everyday use?

The back panel and the straps. A back panel with foam and ventilation channels completely changes how it feels on a thirty-minute commute. The straps should be wide at the shoulder and narrow towards the bottom, and include a chest strap if the backpack is for travel.

Can I request a backpack sample before production?

Yes. If you tell us what laptop your people use and whether it's for the office or for travel, we'll propose two models with a sample.

Can't find what you're looking for?

We publish a selection. We work with several European manufacturers and can source a specific item, a colour that's not listed, or a large quantity with a fixed delivery date.
